The best gardening gifts are determined on what the receiver of the gift would like and where they are in their gardening experience. A good example of this is a gift I bought my mother for her seventy-fifth birthday last year. She is an avid gardener that has been growing much of her own food for many years as well as roses that will make you want to sit in her garden and just breathe in! She had announced that she would have to cut back on her gardening due to her inability to kneel down and bend over the way she used too so I bought her a wonderful kneeling bench. Because of this gift she was able to plant the way she always had this past year.
So now that she got the practical gift I can give her the fun garden gifts that I have given her over the years. I have given her a garden bench, bird feeders and baths as well as statues and gnomes with funny sayings that keep her laughing while she works. I have also given her some additional hand tools for the grand-kids to use when they visit so the entire family can get out in the garden and work beside her. That alone has been a great big success throughout the entire year.
