How I Became a Shed Trend Setter
We decided to buy a garden storage shed bigger than what we actually needed. It’s was a good plan. This is the first year we’ve had the time to work on our yard and garden, so we are just getting started! I really like having a separate structure for our gardening gear. It means all our stuff isn’t going to get lost in our regular attached garage, which is overflowing. But thanks to the new shed, it has a much less cluttered feel now. Strangely enough, I believe we started a new trend in our neighborhood. I can’t think of any other time in my life when I’ve been a trend-setter, but I think we started something.
Evidently our neighbors were impressed with our new resolve to work on our yard, plant a garden and organize and store all our various pieces of lawn and garden equipment. Shedsstarting popping up all over the place in Sunnyside Village. Yards got prettier and gardens got thicker. There were tiny sheds and big sheds. There were dark green ones, beige ones, white ones and red ones. But one couldn’t help but notice residents were responding. I’ve heard of keeping up with the Jones’, but I never realized it could apply to something as simple as sheds.
